When I met these guys for their engagement shoot in London I knew immediately that these two would know how to do a good wedding! And I wasn’t wrong!
I went to check out the church early doors on the wedding morning in Great Oakley, Northamptonshire. As I drove down the road towards the church I saw Shana running up the hill in her lovely coat and fur shawl. I stopped to say hello and asked what she was doing… just going for a little run! Totally calm and collected she then continued to run back up the hill to her mum and dads.
I then proceeded to the church… wow! I had no idea the church was nestled in the grounds of Great Oakley manor. The trees were amazing with their autumn leaves. I was super excited to get some shots of these guys after the ceremony in these grounds!
I then went to Uppingham, Northamptonshire to the Falcon Hotel where the groom was getting ready with his groomsmen! What can I say, these guys are hilarious! I didn’t know until that day how many groomsmen it takes to tie some laces but it turns out it takes 6 groomsmen and 1 MC and about half an hour! To be fair they were in full on Scottish get up with an instruction manual on how to dress! Its not often I am able to get some groomsmen prep shots so it was really cool to hang out with these guys and get some shots.
Then onto the brides parents home back in Great Oakley. All I can say is I’ve never seen such calm and organisation! Everyone was ready an hour before pick up time! So many highlights… the dress!!! The Jimmy’s!! The mother of the brides outfit!! The bridesmaids dresses!! The bridesmaids reaction to seeing the mother of the bride! The mum and dads reaction to seeing Shana! I could go on but we’ve not even got to the ceremony yet!
Amazing, amazing, amazing ceremony in the gorgeous Great Oakley church! Shana’s dress in that light! Wow! Great confetti line post and then I spent 15 minutes with the guys in the grounds of the church! That’s where the magic happened! I love love love these shots! Too many good ones to choose from. The stunning light, beautiful grounds, autumn colours were all such a great backdrop and then these guys in all their gorgeousness just made it.
The guys had a wicked red London bus to transport guests back to the Falcon, where the party really started. The speeches were hilarious and I’ve never seen such a great reaction to winning the speech time sweep stake!
Post speeches the band kicked in and I could have literally stayed all night! So much antics on the dance floor! I’m 100% confident the guests had one AMAZING day celebrating with these guys!
So this is it. Shana and Stu! Congrats guys!
