Micro wedding in Dorset, with 30 actual humans, finally, yes please! Screw you covid! Love is not cancelled.
Fi and Oli told me early on during lockdown that they didn’t want to wait any longer to get married. They booked a new date of early September, luckily I was free due to a postponement and then the government said you can have 30 guests! The excitement was real folks!
I turned up at the brides parents house near sandbanks in Poole and I can only describe it as a house from Selling Sunset (don’t pretend you don’t watch it). I was greeted with so much kindness and went upstairs to where the bride was getting ready.
Micro weddings rule!
Anyway, back to the wedding. The bride wore a w.too by watters stunning backless dress (check out Fi’s back and you’ll see why). If anyone is an ad for Pilates its Fi. She’s an instructor btw, check her out!
These guys got married at Poole Guildhall which is stunning. Amazing staircase! We were only allowed 15 in the ceremony so they bride rightly choose her nan over me, however I stood at the back and managed to get some amazing shots, especially when the bride and grooms son intercepted the first kiss! This is why kids should be allowed at weddings and should be just let loose!
My absolute favourite picture from this wedding and probably EVER is the picture of Fi’s grandad clapping the happy couple. Fi had mentioned they only shot she really wanted was one of her Grandad. She wasn’t sure he would know what was happening but his face just said it all. Such a beautiful special moment.
We did some photos around the old town of Poole and then headed to the Bride’s parents house. The guys had a very low key garden party with drinks and a BBQ. Some hilarious speeches and even a little socially distanced dance.
I shot my first golden hour of the year!!! Oh how I’ve missed that! We went down to the water and got some amazing shots!
