St Dunstan in the East, London Engagement shoot of dreams!

2021 officially started with a bang! Rachel approached me at the beginning of the year wanting some engagement photos to mark their lockdown engagement.

As soon as it was safe to do so, we arranged to meet in their home town of London. Rachel has a keen interest in photography and has a pretty cool job sourcing antique and collectable photos for a global auction house. Her and her love, Levy, moved to London 2 years ago from New York!

We met at St Dunstan in the East, early morning, to get that amazing light, and then we moved on to St Pauls Cathedral. Top tip for all engagement shoots, get up early and get that early morning sun. It will be more than worth it, and there are no people around that early in the morning which makes for easier photos. Especially in a location like London.

From Texas and Arizona, we immediately bonded over our love of the US, London and travelling. Levy even explained what rent control in New York is. I never understood it when they talked about it on friends! Basically, some people live in apartments that had rent control, which means the landlords can’t put up the rent, hence why no-one leaves them!

These guys have such a pure love, they wanted me to go to Puerto Rico for their wedding in Jan 2022 but due to childcare commitments I couldn’t go, but I sent the legend that is Harry Michael instead and the photos were just amazing, and he had an amazing holiday on me! I’m not bitter at all… he sent me some rum to say thank you so its all good!
